Holiday Update: New Features and Enhancements in Human Anatomy VR
We are pleased to announce a significant update to Human Anatomy VR just in time for the holidays. This update introduces several new features, model improvements, and interface enhancements to further elevate the user experience. Here’s an overview of the latest changes:
New Features
- Pin Objects: You can now easily pin objects, allowing for more efficient marking and manipulation during exploration.
- Controller Labels: Clear labels have been added to controllers (Quest 3 and Quest 3S) for smoother navigation and interaction.
- Hand Menu Toggle: Use the X button to quickly toggle the hand menu panels for models and tools, enhancing usability.
- Body Scaling: A double-grab gesture now allows you to scale the full anatomical body, offering a closer look or a wider view.
- Move and Rotate Body: Easily reposition or rotate the entire model to explore it from any angle.
- Slice Planes: Precisely place slice planes along the X, Y, and Z axes for more accurate dissections.
- Compare Translation: Toggle between translated text and the original description for better comprehension.
- New Languages: We have expanded our language support to include Polish and Finnish.
Model Improvements
- Pelvic Connective Tissues: Improved accuracy of the pelvic connective tissues in the male model for greater realism.
- Lymphatic Pathways: Enhanced lymphatic vessel pathways for better visualization and clarity.
- Brain Structures: Minor improvements to brain structures for increased detail and anatomical precision.
Ant Mode Enhancements
- Detailed Breakdown: Composite objects are now automatically split into more detailed parts for deeper exploration.
- Improved Highlighting: Enhanced colors for object highlights, offering a clearer and more visually appealing experience.
- Optimized Info Monitor: The info monitor now updates only when the trigger is pressed, reducing unnecessary distractions.
UI and Settings Enhancements
- Info Panel Update: The info panel has been redesigned to offer a cleaner, more user-friendly layout.
- Skin Tone Customization: Users can now select their preferred skin tones directly from the login scene, providing a more personalized experience.
- Quick Settings Panel: A new quick settings panel for Multi-User mode allows students to easily adjust language, skin tones, and movement types.
Fixes
- Visual Bug Fix: Resolved an issue with the visual bug that occurred when returning detailed parts to their original position.
- Disappearing Objects: Fixed an issue where objects would disappear after rapid clicking.
- Voice-Over Correction: Corrected tutorial voice-over errors for a smoother user experience.
- Cadaver Images: Fixed an issue preventing cadaver images from opening properly.
